Search has trouble with '+'

I've been searching FS/FT for a K6-2+...when I click the resulting threads, all K6-2s are highlighted as K6-2+s. But if you kill the highlighting by trimming the address, you can see there was no '+' in the first place. What gives? Can't search for '+'?
