I search for keyword 'Solyndra' and myself as author, and it finds one post, which nowhere has the word 'Solyndra'. I don't get the search function on this forum.
 
Searching for those terms together results in the following thread:

http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2145359

Searching for a specific post comes up with the following post in that thread:

http://forums.anandtech.com/showpost.php?p=31292058&postcount=52

Inside that post is the following URL: http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2011/02/solyndra-obama-biden-stimulus-waste.html

So the results make perfect sense. The search includes URLs, which may not be directly visible if they've been attached to any text.
 
Ya it really went downhil in VB3.x -- The search function was MUCH BETTER in VB1 and 2.x (Im not sure what they changed to make it not as good)


If one cant fine good results with the site search you can always try this search,it might produce better results
