I was hoping that someone here could help me out. I am looking to buy a Dell 1905FP (and hopefully get the AUO panel). I realize that I wont get the kind of deal that they had in july but I know that there is stuff out there that will make the price decent.

Does anyone have a combination of stackable coupons that bring the price down to something like 300-350 shipped? I am fine with buying a coupon on ebay as long as there are plenty to be found. The most important thing is that I find a good price on the monitor and get it sent my way.

Thanks in advance

Unless another amazing deal comes up, you could wait until you can get the free 19" LCD deal with a Dimension 4700 from Dell and you can get an entire system along with the 1905FP (it's usually a $50 upgrade to the free 19" LCD) for the normal price of just the LCD.

Check www.gotapex.com to see if the free 19" monitor deal is on. Looks like the current deal is for a free 17" LCD. I have seen the 19" LCD deal come up every couple of weeks or so.

The cheapest I've seen is $252 with $20 filler.

If you ever see it $299 or less, BUY IT!

I have an extra one laying around. I bought 2 back when they were 305 or something shipped. was running dual display but bought a 50" DLP HDTV and have that running off the other display. It is currently boxed up and only has about 20-30 hours on it. PM me if you are interested.

Dell's LCD's have the highest price to performance value of most other LCD's.

Not neccesarily the best screens, but the best for your money

It's not that it has to be a dell, its more that it has to be that specific dell (1905FP).

It's about what panel is inside of it. I would be ok with the samsung panel but even happier with the AUO panel (its what I am hoping to recieve).

Not all LCDs are created equal.

Actually I bought a 1905FP and was hoping to receive the Samsung panel which I did. Great LCD and little to no ghosting, zero dead pixels, BRIGHT, SHARP and AFFORDABLE. 3 year warranty.

I thought the cheapest was $219?

Edit: It was $213 but came out to $250 with tax and filler, you were right.

Alright, Someone on fatwallet gave me a single use 30% coupon for free and a setup to bring it down to something like 274 shipped (with a printer for $4 from an ebay coupon).

One of the coupons was expired but I made do with a $35 off 300 coupon and got the monitor and printer for $304 shipped (though with the 35 off 300 coupon, you dont need to add the printer).

I need one soon too. Selling my 15" LCD to someone at work and need a replacement.

Hope one of those $250-ish deals comes around soon. Otherwise, I'll be stuck using my old CRT for a bit.

agreed with poster above, just buy it off ebay - there are tons of deal hunters there which get in on ALL the dell deals and resell on their ebay stores. Sure, it's not as cheap as the cheapest dell deal, but is $50 really going to change your life ?

If you buy it through eBay will Dell still honor the warranty? I thought I read somewhere that it's not transferable.

Anyone know the trick to tell?

I saw it once on a site (you went through some menus and it eventually came up with a debug screen that had panel manufacturer) but I cant remember what terms I used to search and find that site. It had pictures and everything

Would you please update your original post to include this link?

It's buried somewhere in this huge monsterous thread:

LCD warranties are non transferable, so you're SOL.

I dunno about that. Some say the LCD warranties are transferable.
I know you can transfer warranty for Dell stuff.

Dell LCD warranties are NOT TRANSFERRABLE . If you purchase a Dell desktop or laptop and LCD, then I'm sure you could transfer the warranty. Just the LCD from AT FS/FT, eBay or Craigslist then you're S.O.L.

im shocked this thread has gone as far as it did when usually the first eight posts are from people who are sarcastic and say things like "in for five!" or "hawwt deal!!"

It is in fact buried in a link several pages before the link on that thread (in french of course)

Basically you turn it off, press and hold both the OSD button and hte + button while you turn it back on.

From there you let go of the two buttons and hten go into the osd, scroll to factory reset, then again down to the option "Factory" This will bring up the debug type screen with bulb timer and other info.

The M190EN03 is the best panel to get (8ms AUO) while the LTM190E4 is the Samsung which looks great but is slower.
