Wouldn't it be a good idea to make "Order search results by date" checked by default? Won't 99% of searches want it checked?
 
usually when I am searching for a thread, its an old one. If its recent I can usually make it specific enough that I find what I am looking for.
 
slickone, are 99% of google searches order by date? 🙂 Nope.... its rank which is how our search works as well. Again, covered already...

Jason, can you explain why the search function seems flawed lately? If I try searching by a single word, the results come up blank. If I type in a couple words, things work OK. Also, searching by typing in username doesnt seem to work anymore.
