Search Companion Pops Up

For some reason, the Windows XP Search Companion pops up ever time I insert a CD-RW disc into a Plextor 12/10/32 IDE CD-RW drive that has any files or folders on it. The Search Companion doesn't come up when I insert a blank CD-RW disc. XP didn't have this problem when I first installed the new Plextor CD-RW drive. Any ideas on how to prevent the Search Companion from running every time like that? Thanks.
