OK, I know its Mediamatters which is not the most impartial site around however my question is on the rhetoric used by these conservative commentators
this is really bad IMO and who knows how many whack jobs this inspires to go over the edge
Whats the line here? isn't this akin to yelling fire in a theatre? should we just take it as a theatrical performance?
You're such a good little moderate for carefully making sure you attacked both sides by attacking Mediamatters for accurately reporting the quote. Here's a moderate cookie.
I'm more worried about people who can't say 'gee, I appreciate Meidamatters' service in exposing the massive right-wing propaganda organization' than the propagandists, maybe.
It's like some mindless knee-jerk need to attack them for 'being on a side'.
If you want another moderate cookie, just post the made-up claim that 'of course both sides are equally false with people like Sean Hannity.'
You understand they're right in the quote, you understand the quote is demagoguery and false, but make sure you attack 'both sides'? They win when you do that.
Ever hear of 'gaming the ref'? That means if they attack Dems as wating to destroy the US hundreds of times, and you say 'well both sides are bad', some of their attack sunk in.
