Congrats on your Eagle!

I don't recall doing a "speech";it was a long time ago...
I got my Eagle when President Gerald Ford was in the white house.
I got my Order of The Arrow about 2 years earlier,

I forgot,neglected to mention it to the Troop I transfered to
[when i was a senior in high school,my family moved]
{did not want it to seem like i was bragging about it}
and they selected me to become
a member of the Order of The Arrow,along with the Scoutmaster.
I felt like an ass,for not telling anyone,as they "wasted" a choice on me.

Give a speech,maybe,about your project,and how important it is to help others,
and how much you learned from your project,about self reliance. That many times the only person
that you can really count on to help,is yourself.
I am sure that you had a tough time getting "helpers".

Again,congrats,and "Be Prepared"
