October 11th, i will be accepting the award of Eagle Scout at a ceremony held at the local library meeting room.

I dont know of timings, but I know that at some point (near the end), i am supposed to give a speech. i'm terrible at public speaking, though... so it's not a point I really look forward to.

(well, that, and you're supposed to give your mother a kiss which is also not a point i look forward to. especially since she hasnt helped at all in my scouting career)

anyway, this leaves me with the terrible duty of selecting my honor guard to escort me to the stage, and having to write yet another speech.

any ideas on subjects?

Gays in the military.

Better yet: Gays in the Boy Scouts. That's a sure-fire winner of a topic.

:D

how about gays in the confessional booth? not only will people not want you to get through the whole thing, but it has nothing to do with anything you are being rewarded for...as far as we know anyway

a good topic would be 'neffing a way of life or the devils tool?'

or you could just go on a rant about how ungrateful ur parents are and start calling ur mom a whore and a b|tch like you do on here...

As a fellow Eagle Scout let me explain a couple things...
Besides a potential employer, no one really cares that you're an Eagle Scout.

Terrible duty of selecting your honor gaurd to escort you to stage?

You're blowing this waaay out of proportion.
