I've seen a bunch of posts where people are using a Seagate GoFlex thunderbolt adapter to plug in SSDs in a Mac on OSX. Here are some:

Does anyone have any recommendations as far as SSD models or brands for use on OSX?
Do I need one with TRIM support or is that a thing of the past now?
If so, do I need to tell OSX to run TRIM operations somehow?
Is SSD firmware updating on OSX a consideration?
Thanks for any advice!
