This kinda sucks...

My 60GB drive is failing and Seagates software found 65 bad sectors. Now I need to backup all my data and I don't have any other HD's to put the data. I figured they might send a replacement drive first so you can backup your data, but they didn't. Now I've gotta go buy a huge pack of CD-R's to backup like 40+ gigs of stuff.

mhmm its better if you use DVD-R's if you got a dvd burner.. they store more :D 15 of them.. could fit a 60 gig drive.

If its under a year old you can get an advanced replacement if you order a new drive.
Then when they get your drive they credit your account.
Otherwise its like any other RMA from any other company.

You're right :)

All I had to do was call their support line, tell them my RMA # and asked them if they could send the new one first.

Sweet :)
