I wish I had a use for something like this. I think of Hybrid drives more useful for boot drives, in systems that don't have enough SATA ports for a boot SSD, a storage drive or drives, and an optical drive. Like one of my pre-built systems, came with only two SATA ports on the mobo, and an optical drive. So I threw in a 2TB Hybrid drive.

They work well enough, but if you go with the 4TB (why is there no 3TB version?), be aware that you must have UEFI support to boot, and OS GPT support to use just as a storage drive.

I think paying the extra for a Hybrid drive doesn't make sense for just a storage drive.

Maybe a Steam drive, I dunno.
