Seagate Hard drive help

Hi,
I bought a 300 gig sata hard drive about a year ago and I never really noticed that I only had
279 gigs on it till today 🙁

I was wondering if there is something I can do so I can make it show the the whole size of the hard drive. thanks

 
Call up Seagate and demand they give you an extra 20GB hard drive to make up for the missing space. 🙂

Seriously, this is normal behavior. Don't sweat it. It has to do with numbering conventions.
