I was wondering if Seagate Cheetah hard drives are any good?

There are five generations of Cheetah 15k drives, which one(s) are you asking about?
Cheetah 15k.4. That's one of the fluid-bearing generations, which is a good thing. If you want a SCSI drive, it's OK but you will need either an 80-to-68 adapter or a hot-swap rack. And forced-air cooling would be highly recommended. SCSI is not the hot buy in terms of GB per dollar, so weigh the options for your own needs.Originally posted by: ExtremeGamer09
its called the Seagate ST3146854LC
Its a 146GB 15k rpm
80 pin
Ultra320 SCSI
Yeah, they wentAre you for reals?
Something like that. I'd get one that's definitely rated for Ultra320, or better yet, get a 68-pin drive. You will also need a compatible SCSI card (LSI Logic U160 is a cheap one you could watch for), a compatible cable and a terminator.Originally posted by: ExtremeGamer09
