Seagate Barracuda 7200.10

Just got this drive in the other day and was reading the reviews and came across a guy that said the jumper was on default of 1.5gb/s instead of the 3gb/s. Since this is an OEM drive, I don't know whether or not this is true. Anyone have any experience?

I got a couple of Seagate SATA 3.0 HDDs the other week and it was the same: jumper on default at 1.5gb/s; no jumper at 3.0Gb/s. The HDD should have a diagram explaining this.

I simply removed them; they are working fine.

there was no paperwork or anything. it just came wrapped in anti-static and bubblewrap

I'll pull the jumper, thanks

It won't make a difference in performance either way
