Hey, great find. At that price, I can make 2TB a "standard issue" in my builds, rather than 1TB. (It wasn't so long ago that 1TB was around $60, maybe a year or so.)

Now if they would only drop the price of 2TB Hybrid (SSHD) drives to the same level... (then I could put them in as primary drives in builds, and skip the SSD, except for people that were extremely performance-sensitive, and willing to work around the issue of having two drives, and needing to move files back and forth for performance reasons.)

I'm using a Seagate 7200RPM 2TB Hybrid Drive / SSHD in this machine right now, and doing a Malwarebytes scan is fairly fast, not as fast as a full SSD would be, but quite a bit faster than a pure HDD system is. It's a decent compromise for most people, that want both performance and storage capacity, and don't have a lot of internal drive bays or SATA ports. (This OEM H61 mobo only has two SATA ports, and I have an optical drive.)

Might pick up some of these to replace the two 3TBs I have. Beware of Seagate 3TB ST3000DM001. Failure rate is freakishly high according to some sources.

I'd buy 4 if weren't for the reviews. I gave Seagate a shot on my last home server build and 1 of 4 of the 4TB NAS Class drives was DOA.

I've had 4 x 2TB in my server for over 2 years now. Not a single issue with any of them. That being said, I wouldn't touch a 3TB with a 10 foot pole. My last 2 adds have been 3TB Toshibas that I can grab for $82 every now and then, but for this price........

2000GB/$65 = $.31/GB
3000GB/$82 = $.36/GB
