Seagate 7200.10 vs ES @ 400gb

A Seagate rep told me the main differences between the Server (ES) versions and the non-Server versions are that the ES version contains a heat sensor and vibration sensor to help avoid damage.
 
okay sorry dudes, i chose the WD4000KS, WD 400gb SATA 3.0 16mb cache. it seemed to be the all around better performer and quieter drive, did i make the wrong decision?

most likely they have seagates themselves. i just searched newegg and couldn't find it but the WD2500YD (250GB) was a good drive. i don't know if they made a 400GB version. those that claim the seagate is better may provide a benchmark with a 2% performance difference. would you notice it? no. what i do remember of the YD is that the 250GB version was almost as fast (sometimes faster) than 400-500GB drives from other companies so it wasn't slow. what i think does matter, though, when hard drives are this fast is sound and heat. the WD2500YD was the coolest (by 3-4 degrees iirc) and quietest. at least that you can notice the difference in
