Seagate 650GB goes to sleep

Couple months back Frys.com had some oddball Seagate 650GB EIDE drives on special for $110. I'm using one of these in an external Firewire dual drive enclosure (with pull out trays, got a bunch of drives). I've been using this setup with six other Seagate drives, all 400-500GB. This new 650GB drive seems to spin down while the other drives don't. If I don't do anything with it, after maybe 10-20 minutes if I access the drive Windows Explorer hangs for a moment and I actually hear the drive spin up, then it works.

I don't think this is a setting in Windows since the other drives don't do that. Is there a utility that can change this behavior in the drive's firmware?

I have this exact thing.Only noticed it on my System HDD since I installed Vista 64 on my new rig (see sig),was actually wondering if my boot HDD was dying on me as this old 120GB IDE HDD has been the most reliable/stable HDD I've ever owned.

Wonder if the power management of the E8400 could be causing this?

I've now seen this behavior in a second drive, a 500GB EIDE Maxtor that was purchased not too long ago. Besides both being Seagate drives, the other thing was that both drives were already pre-formatted in FAT32.
