Seagate 500gig 7200.10 won't show up on My Computer

Hey guys, I have just purchased a Seagate 500gig 7200.10 SATA HD, and when I plugged it into my rig it shows up in the BIOS but not in Windows, does anyone what the problem is here and how it can be resolved?

You need to make sure that you have SATA drivers installed or SATA set to legacy mode in the BIOS and then you right-click on my computer, choose management, and go to the disk management tab, then you right-click on the drive and partition and format it (which is called intialization). Until you do that, Windows won't see the drive normally.
