this is 7200.9, as opposed to the Maxtor's 7200.10. I would take .10 over .9, even with a shorter warranty.

So, you're saying the Maxtor deal is better because you end up with a .10, but a shorter warranty?

there's a decent chance of getting a 7200.10 drive in the box.

Seems the deal is now dead, as the drive isn't even showing up on their website. Bummer, since I didn't have time this morning, when I checked this week's sale, to get a couple of them! :(

The Maxtor 500GB is showing up in the sale now (don't remember if it was there this morning), for $89.99, free shipping, here. Personally, I'd wait a few days, as Frys oftentimes gets more in stock later on in the week, and will put it back up for sale. :)
