Seagate 4TB head parking

I built a "new" file server at the end of last year. I've used the seagate 4TB greed drives ST4000DM000. After the initial setup they've been running fine so I let them be. I'm running Stablebit DrivePool + Scanner and a couple of weeks ago the Scanner warned me that my drives have passed the 300K head parking threshold. Apparently I forgot to keep an eye on those and in the 9-12 months since I've built the system the drives got up to 300K+ parking events.

Now, I'm not too concerned about 300K parking events right now, but at the current rate it won't be too long (another year or two) until that number hits 1+million. I'd like to put a stop to it. I have tried setting power savings for individual drives to none in Stablebit Scanner, but it doesn't seem to have an effect. Does anybody know how I can reduce or eliminate head parking on ST4000DM000?

If you are running Linux or know Linux you MAY have luck with the "hdparm" command, consult its man page especially the "-B and -Z" options. Problem is, I don't know if its gonna work with your disk or whether it makes a permanent change.
I believe you can do that from a live Linux if you are running other OSs.

I would give it a try. Remember this is at your own risk.

If I understood well you meant green disk at your OP. It is not recommented for this type of job especially due to its parking head feature. I use one for data storage but do not use it frequently (sometimes less than once a week) so it does not bother me.

Head parking shouldn't be a problem. I've got WDs that are years old, that passed the million mark quite a long time ago. They may not be the most reliable drives, but that's why they are cheaper than others.
