I wish I could have just purchased the Hybrid HDD separately and installed it when I got home. When I got my computer built a micro center they did not offer the Hybrid Drive an as I did not want to mess with taking apart my brand new computer when I got home, I just went with a 7200RPM 1TB Seagate barracuda.
The computer boots up quick but loading applications seem to be slower than my old WD 7200 Black edition in my old PC and it makes more noise than my old WD.
Anyway I plan on eventually backing up my applications and stuff in Windows 8 and purchasing a 1TB 3.5 desktop hybrid drive from Seagate. I understand it will boot up much quicker than my current drive but will it perform better in loading games and application. Does anyone have this Hybrid Drive and could let me know how it performs?
Or should I not waste my money and stick with my current HDD.
Also please dont recommend and SSD. I dont have the money nor do I plan on getting one until I can get them with at least 1TB costs less than $150. I know its going to be awhile but I can wait years. Yes I know they are very fast but I dont need one for the price they are. I will wait until I can get 1TB for cheap then I will get an SSD. Until then I will stick with Hybrid or mechanical drives.
Thanks Guys.
