Monarch has Seagate 7200.8 SATA drive $115 with free shipping.

They've also the PATA version also for $90, free shipping as well.

My first deal. :)

They are probably so cheap because the new 7200.9s are out (which IMHO don't offer much). Was just going to get these for $120 off ewiz--with the money I just saved, I can get another drive. Can we say 5-drive RAID5?

Edit: Updated SATA drive price ($109)
Edit: Updated prices: SATA $115, PATA $90

I would have liked 2 more years warrenty, but the WD is a better performer, cooler, and quiet.

Excellent drive, and the 5 year warranty is nice. I bought mine from ZipZoomFly a week ago for $129. I think I'll pick up another one and save $20 :).

Wow, nice!! Still showing $102 for the PATA. Awesome price, I hear Seagates are good, and 5/5 yr warranty??!! :D Might have to pick this and that cheap as hell NEC 3540 if they are still cheap in the next few days.

Very nice price on a very nice drive, with a KILLER warranty. I only buy Seagates now because of their 5 year warranty.

Seagate + Warranty > *

I set up a 300GBx4 RAID1 array the other day.

Provided none of the drives fail at the same time, my friend is essentially covered for five years, no problems.

I think Seagate makes the best drives as well. WD and Maxtor's quality has gone south these days. Not to mention their their warranty is less than Seagate
