Go to Seagate's web site. They have a FAQ about their large drives. It's likely you will need to use their partitioning software to utilize full capacity.

If the onboard IDE conforms to LBA2 standard, should be no proble. BIOS update my help as well. Another option, as Zepper mentioned, is to partition it into smaller volumes.

Also check this Microsoft Knowledgebase article. Unfortunately, if your OS is not properly configured or your hardware does not support 48-bit LBA, no amount of partitioning will matter. Without 48-bit LBA the hardware will simply not recognize anything beyond the 137GB limit, no matter how small you make the partitions. It looks like the motherboard does support 48-bit LBA, so you just need to make sure your OS is up to date (visit the KB article I linked). Incidentally, remember a 200GB hard drive will be recognized as about 186GB.

[Bug]

I second EeyoreX's suggestion. I attached a 250gb drive without applying the registry fix for >137gb support (SP4 didn't put it in like it was supposed to), and my whole bloody partition table was FUBAR-ed.
