Tornadoes over water. Commonly called waterspouts and can form out of the blue without warning during squally weather. I believe I got one while taking a few pics of the sky. It's been a while since I've seen one. Some can be freakishly long like a tentacle from a mothership above sucking fish and other sea life into the exosphere. ;)

Anyone else see these? The weather today was just awful. Funny how people will get out of the pool when it rains (I understand their fear if thunder is heard). Not like it's going to matter if the water gets wet! :biggrin:

Nothing like a gentle backstroke while skinny dipping under broken clouds when a tropical shower suddenly appears! :cool:

that always baffled me as well, but people normally do unexplainable things

Earth spouts happen pretty quick too, sometimes too fast!

Big columns of power just rise up and shake the earth.

They happen in Lake Ontario every now and then, I've never seen one personally though.

I see water spouts at So Calif beaches sometimes... with chicks in bikinis but no naked skinny dipping chicks...o_O

I saw a water spout once while working out in the Gulf of Mexico near Chevron's Tahiti Spar.
