What about irreducible complexity?
What about it?

Again, what about it? Arguing that something is improbable has absolutely no bearing on whether it actually happened.

Zemmervolt:

Simply because we don't see it occuring today.

That's what I'm asking.

It would have all to do with it even being possible to occur at all.

Here are the 3 things that have to be constant in order for carbon/radiometric dating to be accurate.

1. The original concentration of the parent isotope. We must know how much of the parent was originally there and that there was no parent injected in during the time we are measuring.
2. The daughter concentration must not be compromised by an injection of daughter element or isotope during the time line.
3. The decay rate must be constant.
It has been shown that all 3 of these things can vary from place to place, time to time.

If you believe that God is infinite in every way, then He created time. It is like we are all threads of a string, and the length of the string determines amount of time. That is why God is everywhere, because time to him is like a piece of string to us, we can look at or mess with any section we want. And yes, this could go on forever.

The same can be said of miracles.

What's what you're asking? I've never heard of "irreducible complexity". On the surface it sounds rather spurious so I don't want to take it on my initial impression of the claim.

Given our current unserstanding of quantum physics, essentially anything is possible. It's perfectly possible that I will dematerialize and then rematerialize in an orbit of Pluto. The probability is so incredibly small that we can discount that possibility in the heuristics we use to guide ourselves through life, but it remains possible. One way or another we must admit that it's "possible", whatever we believe about the probability.
