SE controller with a LVD drive?

I've got an old 2940UW, and was thinking about getting a X15-36LP drive. I heard something about how if you hook a LVD drive up to a SE controller, you could do some damage. Is there a way I could hook it up? Is the SE and LVD cable the same 68 pin cable?

You can hook the drive up without any problems, don't even need to worry about termination.
