I read that RAMBUS are claiming royalties on SDRAM through a successful court case and that chip prices could triple by XMas. Oh tihs. Also factories are switching to camera and MP3 memory (more lolly there).
Damn. When memory for the last 18 months has often been so cheap.
So if you want your high spec system better buy now unless you can wait for DDDRAM, right?!

If RMBS causes SDRAM prices to go through the roof, we should all BOYCOTT RAMBUS. I have nothing against the technology, even though it sucks $#*. What kills me is the 250 $US/ RIMM price. What highway robbery!

If P4 performs very exceptionally due to RMBS then maybe I'll forgive them. A little. If the performance blows, its time to tie RMBS up in red tape and litigate their sorry *&$#$ into the ground.

Eh? I meant they have intellectual rights and therefore financial cut in normal SDRAM, that's the problem.

er Rambus wants someting like a 3-4% royalty. I seriously doubt this will make ram prices triple.
