sdram vs. ddr - Overall performance?

I currently run an ecs k7s5a which supports both sdram and ddr. Currently I am running with sdram and performance is excellent. Despite my being pleased with the performance, I was wondering what kind of overall performance boost I might see if I were to replace the sdram with ddr. Outside of just having the latest and greatest technology, will it actually impact performace to a level where it would be easily noticed? Any opinions are greatly appreciated. TIA

There's something you should know... All four DIMMs on your motherboard support SDRAM.

SDR - Single Data Rate - what you are using right now
DDR - Double Data Rate - what you are asking about

So for clarity's sake, say SDR vs. DDR instead, thanks. 🙂
