SDram to DDRram....quick?

I'm using an ASrock K7VM2 Motherboard which supports both SD and DDR ram, I bought this MB due to the reason I had 640mb of (PC-133, 512+128) and at the time I couldn't afford to buy any DDR. The board supports DDR2100 (266fsb) has 2 slots for each SD and DDR. If I did upgrade to DDR what sort of preformance increase would I see? And is it worth it? I would most likey get faster ram for a later build, it would just clock back to 266 bus, right?

Any suggestions is a great help!

2400+XP CPU
ASrock K7VM2 (bios 1.90)
Asus 9600xt 128mb
640 mb (pc-133)

I would think up to 20-25%, and just get pc3200 as it can run at pc2100 speeds so you can use it in a later build

Damn really that much of an increase, wow! Ya I was planning on getting faster ram to use with a later build. Thx for the reply Biostud.

That's max, in many cases it will be lower. But if you plan on building a rig with pc3200 in the future I don't see why you shouldn't buy now.
