im not new to computers and memory and ive replaced memory a few times. but im replacing memory on a friends computer and the website 4allmemory.com is saying
"Your Hewlett-Packard Pavilion 510n only supports modules made with a specific type of chip. Should you find what seems to be the exact same memory elsewhere for a lower price, it is very possible that the cheaper memory will not work in your computer."
which sounds like a load of crap to me. but i cant be sure since ive never dealt with hp.
they want to charge $55 for only 256 meg stick
new egg has pqi power ram sticks, but heres the question
new egg list
the first three pqi memory sticks look exactly the same, except for the last 3 digits at the end. can someone explain what those mean? then maybe i can see why there is a difference in price.
