ok,,sorry,,i'm a newbie and have been looking for a new mobo to house my t-bird 1.333/a

qusetion is this motherboards now require drr ram?,,,or can i still put my old sdram in a ddr board,, ?,,,,how confusing,,,i been looking at mobo's for a month now and i want to get the t-bird up and running . can someone explain this to me pls,,maybe make some recommendations on a mobo?,,tyia

Most newer motherboards use DDR, but there are some that will accept SDRAM as well (the ECS K7S5A, for example). However, I would personally recommend you go for a VIA KT266A-based solution, and go ahead and upgrade to DDR memory. I'm fond of the Gigabyte 7VTXH and Epox 8KHA+, myself, but there's lots of other great boards out there as well by Soyo, Asus, Abit, etc. Newegg has a good selection, good prices, and good service...I'm sure you can find a board you'll like there. Good luck 🙂
