I just bought and installed 512mb SDR and its making my system randomly crash when I run it with my 2 128s. When I run it solo, my system wont even boot up. I got a blue error screen once about BIOS.

My Motherboard

Im running windows xp if that matters.

Thanks for any help.

Dead link to mobo. Does it need low density ram? Does the post report all of the ram? Does the mobo support 512 sticks? Do you have built in video (which would require a stick to be in slot1)?

That mobo uses DDR SDRAM not SDRAM DIMMs. It also says PC-2100 DDR is the top speed, so you may need to update the BIOS to detect faster modules, or you can manually set the RAM paramters in the BIOS to ignore the SPD chip.
. Also if you have 512MB single-sided it may not work. Lots of mobos have trouble using more than two modules even though 3 or more sockets are supplied.
