SD vs MicroSD w/adapter

I have a camera and am looking for a 4 or 8 gig SD card for it. Is there any benefit to using an actual SD card vs a MicroSD card in an adapter?

It seems I can find the micros for cheaper than the normal ones but if that might cause a problem, I'd shy away from it.

I can't comment on your particular camera, but my Canon doesn't care and I've tried both. Shouldn't be a problem.

This is a brand new Canon T1i. It can take big sizes just didn't know if the adapters made a difference or not.

Thanks.

sometimes the smaller memory is slower. check the ratings. you are adding another point of failure when you can get a decent SDHC card cheap all over the place? i mean how much are you saving? a buck?

this ^

You may have bad contact with the adapter but if you can live with the possible slower speed and this risk, go for it if you want the savings.
