I was building a number of PCs with Coolermaster Elite 330 cases a few years ago, and found (some time after building) that the power buttons were fragile. I contacted Coolermaster about it, and they sent me several power buttons free in the post.
I think Scythe are being a bit tight really, even though it was the OP's fault. Coolermaster weren't obligated to do what they did, it's called good customer service, it hardly costed them a thing and in exchange I would recommend them for good customer service.
This is a good point. I also had a bad power switch in a Cooler Master ATC 620 case. They asked for an emailed image of the invoice or packing slip, and mailed me a replacement switch.
"Bad" customer service would be if a company won't even give you what their written warranty statement claims.
"Good" customer service would be if a company goes above and beyond what they claim in their written warranty statement.
Everything else, following the letter of their warranty statement, is just business as usual.
