Another Newegg cpu cooler open box special...... the Scythe Ninja SCNJ-1100P CPU Cooler w/120mm Cooling Fan for $27.99.

Link to Ninja.

Cannot guarantee what you'll get with it....pretty much hit or miss. I've ordered open box parts from Newegg before and gotten them looking like brand new...sometimes still sealed...and other times, esp. with motherboards, I've just gotten the board.

:)

That's a little intimidating if they don't include the mounting brackets... know any place that I could get them if I'm missing them?

I use it w/out a fan on E4300 @3.05GHz.
Excellent Heatsink and deal.

Honestly, I don't know but I do know this one is one heck of a tight fit in mid-tower ATX cases....think in your case I'd be thinking shoe horn.....or Dremel......or cutting torch.

The only MicroFly uATX case I know of is the one I have, and the answer is NO!

As Anandtech's review wrote: "Like the other clones of this case, the MicroFly just barely works with our CNPS 7000 Cu cooler." The chassis-stiffening (and HD/DVD support) bar severely limits cooler clearance, and a low-profile unit like that horizintal "flower" is your best bet. [Refer to linked pix.]

Edit: As noted above, the -Open Box- Unit is OOS now.

I have the same mobo in an X-QPACK (i think it is very similar to the Microfly. It will not fit because of the bracket holding the HDD and rear fan. The height clearance for the QPack is 78mm... unless you mod your case and dremel out the bracket.

The Zalman 7700 will most likely fit your case though.

Nope, don't work for Newegg, ClubIT, or any other electronics seller or supplier. I just buy a bit fixing various computers around here so am always browsing the various online sellers for this 'n' that and always come across some deals.

So, rather than just note them and move on, thought y'all might like to at least see some of what's out there cheap.

Remember, I posted about the Andy Samuari Master heatsink from Cooler Guys for $19.99....don't think a Newegg employee would do that.... :)

I did this with a different HS/Fan a while back and all it cam with was the heatsink, no fan and no bracket, was not a bargain at all, a waste of time actually

Has anyone here tested the Zalman 7700 in a Microfly (and if so, does it fit)? The 7000, which "just barely works" in the Microfly, is 109 x 109 x 62 mm, whereas the 7700 is 136 x 136 x 67mm.
