Hi,

I've been using a Thermalright SI-120 with a Yate loon D12SL-12 Fan, Antec P180 Case, to cool a P4 530J, after reading a lot more about heatsinks, I found the Ninja, it looks like is better than the SI-120, but I'm not 100% sure if it is compatible with my motherboard, Intel D915GAV http://www.intel.com/products/motherboard/d915gav/index.htm, can you help me to find out if the Ninja will Work with my Mobo?

No, I don't think so. You have to be able to remove the original mounts (that hold down the heatsink) that come on the board, like you can with most motherboards. Though, I've only mounted one on a Skt. 754, and on a Skt. 939, so I'm not 100% sure. It doesn't look like it to me, though.

Thank you for the answer, I just received an email from Scythe, and they tell me as long as the height of the northbridge is less than 50mm is fine, I just measured it and it is 35mm, so no problems!!!!

One more question, is it too difficult to install this heatsink? the best way to install it is with the mobo inside the case (P180) or outside?

P.S: what about the temperatures that I could get with this heatsink, better than the SI-120? What is your opinion?
 
Inside because most likely it will be a pain to screw the mobo in after the heatsink is installed because its huge.

The heatsink itself is very easy to install and it uses the same mounting system as your SI-120. So basically it will be the same way of putting it on
