I'm becoming very turned off by coolers such as the Tuniq Tower and Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme because of their huge size and pain of installation. I'm looking at the Scythe Ninja Plus Rev. B right now for cooling my future Q6600. How is this cooler in terms of weight, installation convenience, and effectiveness for cooling Quads? What if I were to OC to 3.0ghz (stock voltage) or even higher? If I were to purchase this are there any accessories I need to get with it (i.e. 120mm fan, fan clips)? Thanks!

Pain of installation? TR Ultra 120 extreme was the easiest install I have ever made. most difficult? Scythe Infinity, second most? Big Typhoon. The infinity also gave me 2 cuts on my fingers cause of the sharp fins, talk about PAIN. The ninja uses the same type of fins so I would imagine it would be as sharp and easier to cut yourself on since they look to be placed further apart. Now to answer your question, yes it would be sufficient to cool a quad using the right fans.

i have the scythe ninja.
for my amd 3800 setup, i only use passive cooling. the package does come with the fan for you to clip on the heat sink.
it was difficult to install but no cuts on my hands
