I'd prefer my backing plate did not stick to the back of my botherboard. Since it uses screws, can I leave the adhesive film on? Or is there a good reason why it must be removed?

Thanks.

The best thing you can do is leave the wax coated paper on top of the adhesive...unless you never want to remove it! :)

I actually removed the paper top and stuck the plate to the bottom of the board. I then read (about 5 minutes later) that this is NOT what you want to do if you want to remove it later. I removed it immediately and it wasn't easy even only being on for 5 minutes. I replaced the wax paper and replaced the bracket to the board.

Definately leave the paper in place. I'm selling a board now with the Ninja backplate still stuck it. I switched to a DFI board and was luckily to be able to use the DFI backplate for the Ninja heatsink.

I've heard the adhesive loosens up using a blowdryer, but I just decided not to take the risk.
