Scythe Mine on an I7-930?

I have a Scythe Mine CPU cooler left over from a previous 775 build and I am wondering if it is worth replacing the stock Intel Cooler on my I7-930 setup with this or should I just trash the whole idea and get a newer cooler?
Money is an issue and I don't over clock much. I can get and adapter for about $7.

Thanks,
Mark

I used a Scythe Mine on my first build, an e6600. It was known for very quiet performance, and it's still working well, although the CPU does run hotter than it probably would with a more modern cooler (idles around 45). The Mine will certainly be better (and quieter) than the stock i7 cooler, so if you're not going to overclock much and you like quiet performance, it's worth giving it a shot.
