Scythe Mine 2 fans

Hey guys,

So I just picked up a Scythe Mine 2 for my Socket 775 Xeon X3350. Going to mount it tonight, hopefully it all fits with my Gigabyte EP45-UD3L inside the Antec 300 case without clearance issues with the RAM.

Just wondering, what would be the best configuration for mounting extra fans? I was thinking about picking up 2 more Scythe 120mm SlipStream PWM fans, and mounting them with the clips, provided that it can clear the RAM. Should I mount them as Push/Push-Pull/Pull, with it exhausting out the back of the case through the Antec's rear exhaust fan? What if I can only mount 2 fans?

Do I need a splitter cable for the 3 fans to maintain PWM capability?

i don't think you're going to see a huge improvement with more fans, certainly not in proportion to noise and cost.

a pwm fan doesn't lose its "pwm capability". it only works as a 12vdc, pulse width modulated electric motor with tachometer. if i was going to hook up 3 big fans to the cpu fan header (and i wouldn't) i would use something like this:

the motherboard plug has the pwm signal and tach signal connections, the molex 4-pin has 12vdc and ground.
