I had to shave about 1-2mm off one end of the Infinities extrusion (not the base) for my P5W DH. It took about 5 minutes with a Dremel.

It's well worth it because the HSF is excellent. It's probably the best air cooling solution out there. Once Tuniq Tower goes back into production I'd love to see a review between these two. My money is on the Infinity.

Anything out there that someone would recommend that doesnt take a dremel to make compatible? For the Asus P5B deluxe conroe board.

How about the Zalman CNPS9500? Can get it with LED and non-LED versions. I know they fit the Conroe chips and the P5W DH mobos. Not sure about the P5B mobo though.

Have you seen this? ;)

Yes, & thats what drove me to get the Zalman 9500, further up in that thread I saw people with this board talking about having to Dremmel the HSF to get it to fit.

Well..I have one on the P5W DH I have...I didnt have any other concerns...it was actually fairly simple to put on. I don't see how any motherboard I have ever owned would have a problem with it, so I am sure its fine with the P5B.

I almost bought the Scythe Infinity but changed my mind due to the same mounting system as Intel stock. Assuming a good contact that thing must perform great considering the number of fins. (You will need a high RPM fan in order to see its real potential)

I instead went with Thermalright Ultra-120. Cools very well and the mounting takes less than 1 minute. (literally, I know you don't believe it)

Yeah, I was looking at the Infinity and noticed it uses the C2D retail HSF and was like, WTF? I'm considering buying the Thermalright Ultra-120 next month. My Artic Cooling Freezer Pro 7 cools pretty well, but I think my E6400 has potential.
