So I bought a Scythe Infinity, not realizing that it can only be mounted one way on AM2 boards because of the non square mounting bracket. The ideal configuration seems to be to have the nubs pointing to and from the backplate and rear fan, but mine point up and down the board. Am I in trouble here?

To see what I mean, look at the pictures on Newegg:

See where the fan is mounted? That would seem to be the ideal position, and you'd want that aligned with your rear exhaust fan. This broader part of the heatsink is above the nub on the bracket. My board has the nubs at the other ends, so I would have to mount the fan on the narrower side, which is possible, but it looks like the airflow would be severely obstructed by the heatpipes. Should I return/cancel this, or do you think it'll be fine?

My board is a Biostar Tforce 550, pictures here:

Maybe I can buy the retention bracket made for the Ultra 120, and use the Infinity's socket 478 clips to get it on the direction I want?
