Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm x 25mm 3000 RPM fans

[FONT=Arial, sans-serif]Does Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm x 25mm 3000 RPM fans have any pre-set or restriction on the fan, to restrict the speed range and lock it so the fan will run constantly at one speed? Or for example only able to lower RPM by 30%-50% of the actual speed?

I have an AeroCool X-Vision fan controller. I'm trying to set the fans at a lower RPM when not gaming. I think I need to buy a PWM fan with 3 physical wires. If you think so too, I'd appreciate it if you drop some links of fans that will work.

Thank you

the scythe GT 3000rpm is a nidac fan which can draw way more amperage then your fan controller can handle.

I know the 4500rpm versions can draw as much as 3amps.. which is 36Watts...

Your fan controller unless it has good heat sinks, or is a great controller, which its not... will only be able to handle at most .33 amps... :\
Even a Ultra Kaze would damage it in the long run.

Thanx for the reply. I don't mean to doubt your knowledge, but this is the fan's Rated Current: 0.22A (2.64W)

I am still learning. How many watts is .33 amps?

AeroCool X-Vision fan controller has 8 watts per channel. Please advise.

A * V = W

So if it were a PSU, 20A on the 12V rail would be 240W

No idea for this specific case, just thought i would chime in with the formula.
