Hi,

Another question about SCSI, I tried to look for previous question but couldnt find anything...hope you guys can cope with one more...:)

Anyway, I was thinking of buying SCSI to my system (1GHz PIII, 512MB RAM, Asus 7700 Delux) At the moment I have a IBM 75GXP disk connected to a ATA100 card.
Would it be worth it to upgrade to a Fujitsu, AG 9.1GB 68pin Ultra2 10k with an appropriate SCSI card?

Best regards

Yes, it will certainly be worth it. It will increase performance is office apps, boot time, and general performace significantly. Go get it!

I saw a big difference going from my dual quantum KA's (7200rpm/udma66 first gen) to my current Seagate Cheetah 4.55gig 10k UW SCSI.

Oh, and the best card for U2W/u160 drives is probably the Adaptec 2940u2w.
It has onbaord U2W SCS, UW SCSI and 50pin internal, UW external ports.
you dont need the speed of u160 scsi for a single drive setup.

Yes, the upgrade is worth it. Go with Seagate Barracuda or Cheetah if you can! :)
