Scsi scanner problem

i completely rebuilt my computer and the new MB doesn't have any ISA slots so i had to toss my ISA scsi card and try to use the external 68pin connection on my adaptec 2940uw. i have an old mustek 1200sp with a 25pin cable. i bought a 25 to 68pin adapter and a terminator. the scanner boots up in the scsi bios and then everything just hangs. i can't get past it even having tried almost all the options in the scsi bios. any suggestions will be appreciated.

I am using an Adaptec with my scsi scanner with no problems. The external connector is 25 pin. I've never heard of the adapter you describe.

When Mustek scanners install you have to choose which SCSI card it's using, try uninstalling and reinstalling the driver, choosing Adaptec as the card when it prompts you.
