ScSi Pci-x vs Pci adaptec controller

if i go pci-x with scsi adaptec controller instead of pci standard on my will i see a difference of transfer rate or speed?

Short answer, yes.

Long answer, you would need a 64 bit slot to go along with the pci-x card. While most 64 bit cards have a notch to allow you to plug them into a standard 32 bit pci slot, and most will work in a 32 bit slot, they will not give you the full 320mb throughput of the card out of that standard pci slot.

Pci-e will give you all 320mb throughput right away
