Dose anyone know of or have a working 68-PIN SCSI PCI config for the AMD 770 chipset?

I'm trying to run an MSI 770 C45 with an LSI 68-PIN Ultra 320 adapter. The LSI card is about six years old, but that shouldn't be to much of a limitation as I don't believe much has changed with Ultra 320 as far as I can tell. The card has never been flashed (not even sure it can be).

For the life of me, I cannot get windows installed on any of my SCSI drives using this combo. I get through the format process with XP, get the first batch of install file's installed, then when I proceed to load XP from the hard drive the computer restarts itself upon making it to the XP flash screen.

Both IDE and SATA ports will install OS's fine on compatible device's.

Config works fine without SCSI attached ... so I don't think the ram is messing with me.

Anyone using the 770 chipset with an SCSI config successfully?

Which SP is your XP install disk?

Since the original came out in 2001 and the LSI card in 2003 are you having to manually load the drivers during the installation process from a floppy drive or are they detected and available for that SCSI card?

XP SP3.

I don't have any issue installing this copy of XP on my NForce Two/Athlon XP 2500+ setup with the same SCSI config.

Check for firmware update and use the latest LSI drivers for textmode setup (slipstreamed, if you have no floppy drive). Otherwise, its probably an MSI BIOS glitch/bug.
