I am thinking of purchasing a Abit kr7a raid Motherboard. I will be building two PCs with this board and both have Adaptec 2940UW2 adapters. One PC boots to a scsi drive and has no ide devices currently. May change in future.
THe 2nd PC boots to IDE with 4 ide drives and one scsi hard drive, cdrw and cdrom drive.
Will the Promise raid controllers play fair with the scsi controller ? can the raid channels be turned off so it doesnt conflict?
Can i still boot up to scsi drive and have two raided ide drives as data drives? with no conflicts?
