I've just upgraded a mate's PC from Win2000 to WinXP, my problem is that his Tekram DC310 SCSI controller is now showing as a LSI logic 58C810 and you've guessed it windows says it's fine, but it don't want to work with his scanner that was running fine before hand, does anyone know a good site for drivers? or link me to a driver for the above card thanks

That's odd that it won't work, Tekram is pretty much just an lsi card which winXP comes with drivers builtin..

on my old hp4c you did need to terminate the scanner, if it was last in line, make sure termination is correct both on the inside and outside (if this applies to you). cards are different but you have to make sure that whatever is necessary is done.

What else is on the SCSI chain?

Have you checked the SCSI BIOS to see if it still sees the addressing for the scanner?

I just want to make sure the lower level protocol is OK before we work on Windows.
