Has all the manufacturers stopped making the faster cdr-w drives with the scsi interface?
Correct me if I'm wrong but I have yet to see a 24x cdr scsi drive on the market by any maker....all seems to be IDE drives
Am I correct or just not looking hard enough?

I want to keep my systems straight SCSI (cause SCSI rocks! :D)and I want to upgrade my burner to 24x but I can't find a SCSI one, just IDE drives

It exists. The only one I'm aware of is Sanyo BP5. Anything else is most likely a Sanyo OEM. There is a company in California that sells individual BP5's(24x10x40 SCSI) Its about $200. I'm not sure if Anandtech advertisement policy allows me to post the company name so e-mail me if you want their name.

with the speed of today's computers I wouldn't worry about having a lone EIDE CDRW that doesn't even exceed 16MB/s especially if your high speed hard drives are all SCSI
